Dinosaur museum

Esperaza has a dinosaur museum with a science centre that investigates the presence of dinosaurs in the valley of the Aude. Since the end of the 19th century, a lot of dinosaur bones and also a nest with more than 40 eggs were discovered in the area . The museum displays how the bones were discovered and they have bone casts, a replica of a dinosaur skeleton, footprint casts and a diorama of a female titanosaur in her natural habitat, complete with a nest of hatching eggs. A total of 35 dinosaur species are displayed. The museum might be small, but it is very interesting. You really will want to take your kids there.
